π§Ύ Email Header Analyzer
Paste your raw email headers below to check authentication, routing, and identify potential deliverability issues.
Why Analyze Your Email Headers?
Email headers are the most critical, yet often overlooked, component of deliverability. They contain the entire technical history of your email, from the moment it left your server until it reached the recipientβs inbox.
- π‘οΈ **Verify Authentication:** Quickly confirm if your **SPF, DKIM, and DMARC** records passed or failed, which is the most common reason for landing in spam.
- πΊοΈ **Trace Routing:** See the exact path (servers and hops) your email took, and check for any unusual or slow transfers.
- π¨ **Identify Spoofing:** Headers expose if another party is trying to send email using your domain.
- β±οΈ **Measure Latency:** Calculate the total time the email took to travel, helping diagnose slow mail servers.
Key Header Fields Defined
These are the fields our tool extracts and analyzes for deliverability health:
- **Authentication-Results:** Contains the pass/fail status for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks performed by the receiving server.
- **Received:** Added by every server the email passes through. Used to construct the routing timeline.
- **Message-ID:** A unique identifier for the email, used for tracking and troubleshooting.
- **Return-Path:** The address where bounce messages are sent (usually the same as `Reply-To`).
- **X-Mailer:** Often identifies the sending software/service (e.g., Mailchimp, Outlook, SendGrid).
